Service Description

No Experience Needed! This class is geared toward those experiencing clay for the first time. We will meet each week for 2 hours for 5 weeks where you will learn the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel. Our instructors will guide you and help you throughout your journey in creating hand-thrown pottery. You’ll be able to take home and use everything you make once you’ve finished the 5-week course! Just bring your desire to take chances, make errors, and get dirty—all the equipment and materials are given! Weekly Agenda: Week One: Introduction of tools, wheels, and how to wedge. Begin centering clay and pulling cylinders. Week Two: Demo on Cups and Bowls Week Three: Demo on small vases Week Four: Demo on trimming and handles Week Five: Glazing Please Note: Due to the structure and times of the class, we will not reschedule or refund the course if a class is missed.
