Pottery Wheel Crash Course

A 90-minute wheel, hands-on, throwing 101 crash course.

Get a 30-minute demo showing the steps to throw on the pottery wheel (ex: centering the clay, forming the bottom, making a pull, shaping the piece and 15 min clean-up time). Each student receives three balls of clay to create a masterpiece, at the end of the class you may decide to keep one or all pieces made.

The class include one piece.

Your pieces will be available for pickup 3-4 weeks.

The class may not run with fewer than three students enrolled. You will receive an email if class gets cancelled.

What does the 90-Min Crash Course include?

I need to cancel/reschedule?

Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. If you cancel your appointment less than [48 hours] before it is scheduled to take place or do not show up, you will be subject to a penalty fee of charge the cost of the class ($75) per participant.

You can reschedule your appointment without incurring any penalty fees if you do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled time. However, after this period, a rescheduling fee of $35 will apply.

 What happens if I show up late to class?

Our pottery class begins promptly at the scheduled start time, and punctuality is crucial. If you arrive 10 minutes late or more, your participation will be forfeited, and we will not be able to accept you into the class. Late arrivals disrupt the session and affect the experience for all participants. Additionally, being late will be considered a "no show," and the full amount for the class will still be charged. Thank you for understanding and respecting our policy, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

When will my piece(s) be ready?

Your pieces will be ready to be picked up 3-4 weeks after your class session.

How long do you hold onto pieces? 

We will hold your pieces for two weeks after we send out an email telling you your pieces are ready for pick up.

 

My piece(s) are broken

We truly hate it when such things occur. However, we must clarify that the cost of your workshop or class covers the experience and instruction, and is not dependent on retaining a piece of pottery. Refunds are not provided for damaged, lost, or discarded pottery.

The drying and firing process involves many variables, and pieces can crack, stick to kiln shelves, or even explode during firing.

While we strive to ensure the success of your pottery, these factors make it impossible to guarantee that your work will emerge in perfect
